as you probably have noticed i am having trouble getting my 5 week old crestie to eat, or at least i think i am i have been told he could be eating and im not noticing as they dont eat much. should i transfer him from his 45 45 60 viv to a smaller one till he is older or just leave him to settle in this one i was thinking of getting a mate to keep him company what do you think then they could both stay in the same viv |

Try small/medium sized pet pal plastic enclosure, put in a fake plant and should all be fine, you can probably wait until he/she is about 5-6 months before putting him into the exo-terra. |

personally i dont think moving him too a smaller viv is going to make to much differance too your crestie although it will make it a lot easier to monitor what and when hes eating and what not but in all honesty bunny, I wouldnt over worry or change things yet, the more things get moved and the more he gets disturbed the more stress your putting him under. and the longer hes going too take to get used too you and his new environment |

doh o was thinking that about mov ing him, that it might just stress him again so many different suggestions its so hard to know what to do, think ill leave him and see how it goes he seems to have a favourite place in the viv just have to watch his food intake. does anyone know how long they can go without food at this age, cos if is isnt long then i guess he must be eating something |

they dont really eat enough baby food mixture to notice they are eating until they are a few months old and if you are using a small food dish then it makes iy even harder to tell the food is being eaten as the baby for settles flat again after the gecko eats some of it. I would say dont worry about and just keep giving the baby food, allmine are growing and i never notice that any food as been eaten. _________________ Play Hard |

My adults are both kept seperate for most of the year and i havent noticed any problems with them. I think buying a mate will only please you and wont really make a difference to your gecko, he will be fine. _________________ Play Hard |
