If your husbandry is spot on a juvenile monitor will never get fat, regardless of how much you feed, they will just keep growing and growing! Monitors get fat because they do not have access to high basking temps and do not get enough exercise (e.g no dirt to dig in and nothing to climb on)

Bosc monitors are semi arboreal and should be long and slender with the potential to reach lenghts of 4'. Most i have seen as pets (with a few exceptions) are over weight and very lethargic. People believe there big fat bosc is tame and happy because it sits there all day and hardly moves. In reality they are unhealthy and kept in sub standard conditions.

Sorry i have had a bit of a rant here and it was by now means directed at your monitors or your husbandry. It was simply a general overview of how i see so many Boscs kept.

Yours seem OK, they are very young and should be active and growing enough not to get fat. If they do tho you should review your husbandry.

All the best

Rick
