Are Gila monsters classed as Dangerous Wild Animals (DWA)? If so do you need a license to keep them? |

For their beauty, to me they are just the same as my other reptiles. I don't handle many of my animals anyway (would take too long!) But I do have time to appreciate them and watch their behaviour etc.
Think of keeping venomous reptiles like keeping fish, you can't handle them, you have to secure them in something else while cleaning their tank but they are great to watch |

yep, DWA. Their venom is comparable to western diamondback rattlers. |

Great answer..they certainly are spectacular..would love to keep them myself one day. |

as babies they hiss and snap madly, but as adults they calm right down and are even ok to handle (carefully!) |
