yep, I keep that in the living room as the temp and humidity is perfect for roaches, plus the noise from the TV seems to have a calming effect. _________________

ok....I keep them in my insect building (miles from the house!)
Currently have Red Runners and the Dubia in good numbers, then there are a few other species that I trying...need to see if they are productive enough for the space required. _________________

Scott
How do you manage to clean your bins without them escaping. |

easy way is to shake the old egg carton (covered in roaches) into an empty bin, then place clean pieces in this bin, the roaches soon cover it, then pick the new piece up and place in the clean bin.
I also leave new egg carton in the old bin for a week or so, constantly shaking the roaches off into the new bin.
hope that makes sense _________________

Sounds like a simple system.
What the size of the bins that your using ? How big of a colony can those bins hold.
cheers |

Scott - you don't do things by halves do you, lol?
Those tubs look good. I wish I had put some of those circular mesh vents in mine - I've just drilled small holes in the lids, but I get too much humidity building up at times. How did you fix them in place?
Also, can't see any lids???
Cheers,
Mark. |
