My leucomelas have been hiding a lot, I had a theory that they dislike the bright full spectrum light i use for the plants, so last week i changed the bulb for a much dimmer reptisun 5.0 i had spare, ive seen a marked improvement in activity since the switch both frogs rarly hiding,
has any one else found this with their frogs? it makes sense they shun bright light considering they naturally live on the dark forest floor
just hope the lighting in now using is bright enough too encourage plant growth

Hi Mattie.
As I have said many many times before the lights are fr two things only
first: the Plants
Second: us
the plants need lights to grow, and for the best colours in bromeliads the stronger the light the better... with good lighting a plain green bromeliads can shoot out reds, oranges and a whole host of other colours.
We need lights to stare at the frogs and plants lol. _________________ Paul
