Mick, has the baby snake got mites then?
I haven't used for baby snakes as I'd prefer to leave them soaking over 48 hours in water rather than use chemical.
However on the adult / sub adult snakes, I spray a cloth with frontline and then wipe the snake with the cloth (basically letting the snake crawl thru the cloth), the snake must be dry before you do this and then use the frontline and again let the snake dry before putting back in the viv (ie make sure the smell has gone). You mustn't use too much so the snake is soaking wet but it should look a little shiney after you have used it. _________________

frontline is safe if used correctly, I just find it easier to soak a juv snake (I'm talking under 400g) rather than take any risks, especially when the small snakes go back into tubs that haven't the same air quantity and flow as the larger snake racking (also these small tubs can be cleaned real easy to eliminate mites). _________________

sorry for the questions Scott, i keep her in a plastic container shoe box size, so how deep should the water be, and wont she drown overnight? |
