Hi all......I've been given a 1 year old Cali King but the previous owners leave a large mouse in the viv and leave it up to her when she takes it but she only feeds once every 2 weeks.....she doesn't strike a teasing mouse at all...with my royal i feed in a separate viv so she knows it's feeding time (it's just my way).....I want to get the Cali feeding in a similar way...Can anyone advise...thanks.Lez |

Hi Lez, all my kings feed in their tubs. I myself don`t like leaving food lying around either, and my Kings all strike like food is going out of fashion when it comes to feeding time.
Have you tried warming the defrosted mouse up to body temperature and then feeding? That`s always a favourite way to get a snake striking for it`s meal. Maybe leave her get a tad hungrier than usual too and the combination of her hunger and the apparently alive mouse (because of the warmth) should help you change her feeding routine. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD
