|
|
Hello all
I'm undecided on this one so could do with some advice.
I have just bought a double stack (24"x24"x24" each viv) and am pondering over the best way to heat it. For each viv I was going to carry on using a mat (23"x6") and then fit a low watt ceramic heater for ambient heat (it's gonna need it).
Question is can I get away with using one stat for both mats and one stat for both ceramics? I'm not trying to cut corners here! If both vivs would be better off with seperate stats then so be it but if not then obviously theres no point in wasting money.
Because the vivs are built as one unit (ie. the top of the btm viv is the floor of the top viv) i'm concerned the top one is going to get too hot. I could place the sensor in the top viv but I wonder if I would then face a problem of the bottom viv being too cold!
Or maybe I could do without the mats? Hmmmm, choices, choices...
Anyone have any thoughts/ideas? The vivs will be home to Royals of course |
