I'm curious to know what others use to feed their lizards.
I use 50% silent browns and 50% locust as an insect diet, don't use black crickets as not many of my lizards will eat them, has anyone else found this?
I don't tend to use banded crickets much either as they jump like mad! |

I prefer to use locusts where possible but find crickets to generally be easier to get hold of and cheaper. |

I use black crickets which I feed with a variety of foods. I plan to start using some cockroaches (non-fliers/climbers) as soon as I get a succesful culture going. These seem to be preferred by geckos such as Nephrurus amyae and have a better meat to shell ratio.
I'm not sure my girlfriend will be as happy to help out at feeding times though |

I use brown crickets and giant mealworms. The only thing in my collection that eats blacks are the trilineata's outside, but then they eat anything that fits in there mouths
I still vary the diets with locust and waxworms pinks but those two are the staple. |

We use a mixture of all three of the usual suspects, browns blacks and locustshere along with a few others added in for variety and have just aquired a small blaberous cockroch colony in the hope that they will multiply and provide us with a nice cheap source of live food. |

Could you add roaches to that poll of yours.???. Of course,I am biased, as a breeder & seller of feeder roaches. _________________ Dave Messer @ Insectsunlimited.
