My royal, Jumanji has like a silver tint to her eyes, but you can see little like hexagon/shapes on her eyes. It looks liek skin, and i beleive its eye caps that ahvent came off from a bad shed.

Somebody told me to put her in a lunch box (with holes at the top for air) and place warm damp kitchen roll, to make a kind of sauna for her, And leave her in it for a hour (making sure it is still warm-ish) I done this, But her eyes are exactly the same.

Somebody else said, leave her to shed, but as shes a adult, this could take a while and irratate her even more right? Any ideas. Shes going to the vets on monday, But im not sure if they can help (Not reptile specialists... Annoying I know)

So Any Ideas?

Hi Melt0s.....A friend of mine has a year old royal which had a bad shed which resulted in eyecaps and head skin and a warm bath for an hour did the trick but keep an eye on him...Please excuse the pun.... not intended....good luck...let us all know how you get on..Lez

Cheez mate. I have done a bath, with tepid water. I have also tried a 'sauna' effect, bringing a high humiderty for a 1 hour session with her. I done this by pierching plenty of holes in a old lunch box (Well its a big plastic tub with tight lid) and placed wet warm kitchen towels in the bottom, and popped her in there for a hour, Changing the kitchen roll about half way through if it got to cold, but no skin would budge,

I think it was a bad shed, She has skin on her head still from previous bad sheds and some on her body further down.

Hi
If you search you will see lots of advice for this problem on this forum.
Check out humidity in the viv started by lez to see pic of how I keep royals.
I used to think, and a lot still do that royals are kept hot and dry. BUT they live in burrows which are hot and humid. One of my royals had stuck sheds, I basically put handfulls of moss in the contico box and kept wet when she was in shed cycle. I use a tub of moss when not in shed and spray lightly in morning. If you tank is big enough you can provide a tupperware tub hide with moss in it as well as dry hide and the snake will choose what it needs.
MOST IMPORTANT if your tank is not humid enough your snakes eyes can look crinkly giving impression of retained shed.
long winded hope helps

Ok Thank you. My Humiderty levil is at 60-70. She also has some scales left on her body from previous sheds, that wont budge (Im not going to force them) I think i will just wait till monday Smile (Vets) Well heres some pictures, I havent quiet figured out my dads camera, but anyway, hes the best i can, they just have a silver tint and some parts of the eye are bumpy, its defernetly eye caps.

Im not going to put her through any pain today. Im quite upset today to be honest, My leopard Gecko died over the night. RIP Spirit.
