It is sad but true yes some people do fall for it, another well known one is we want to buy all your livestock blah blah, will send payment in advance plus extra to cover the handling fees shipping fees etc, pay the extra to my agent, six months later you find out the cheque was stolen and bang you've lost the money you gave to their agent, and the money from the original payment is withdrawn by the bank as the cheque was a dud!

They mainly originate from Nigeria the scam emails.
They come in different guises but basically all follow a similar theme. it work as the email appeals to some peoples greedy nature.

Fraud is rife and with the advent of the internet is simple to do from anywhere in the world!

Good Grief,is "dear" Grace still around!!!. She sent me an identical email last year when I had a sales ad up. I can't believe shes still at it. I wonder what it is about us English that makes all these scammers think were totally thick? The latest one seems to be a friend in London owes them £1000 so he will come and collect the for sale item, give you a cheque for the 1000- you deduct the cost of the snake or whatever and give him the change- yeah right! But people have fallen for it.I wonder what happens to all the innocent unwanted animals caught up in the scam- bet they end up on the classifieds too.

these guys make the scammers jump through hoops to waste their time so real people dont get involved .

some of the things they have made there scammers do for the promise of money is crazy . getting tattoos , hand writing the harry potter books and hand drawing scale maps are just a few things Very Happy
