Prefer them without the shadow,just that it distorts the background too much I think when you do it.. Embarassed

It certainly does make the snake look 'added' onto the background, I see kinda prefer it, really makes them stand out Laughing

I think perhaps on the next photo shoot we can try different backgrounds, maybe perspex, cloth or damp peat?

I agree they certainly stand out more and I like that just a shame about the background but as you say we'll try something else next time.. Cool

they are on a peat and sand mix, the top photos are after I have 'cloned' the substrate to erase the shadows, this makes the snakes really stand out.

What do you think?

They do stand out more but im not really digging ( pun king me ) the stuff they are shot on. What made you go for this sub? Nice pics dont get me wrong, maybe its just because its not a 'normal' background for python shots that im not too keen... i dunno. You use Photoshop Scott? mac or PC and what version?
