They are doing very well, and growing like mad!
I went to feed them today, chicks, and i shake them infront of the glass, and all 3 turned there heads, and looked at me as to say, your dumb, we know it’s outside the cage throw the glass. Stupid human!
Then i opened the cage, and i got rushed by 3 crazy argus monitors! It was insane, and so smart.
7/9/06(day i got them)
Female 17"
Male 20"
7/25/06
Female 20 1/2"
Male 22"
7/31/06(today)
Female 23 1/2"
Male 25 1/4"
Stubby 14 1/2" haha but his body is in the middle of the pair.
It also looks like i have 1.1 with Stubby looking like a male making 2.1
3 together in a 5 gallon bucket. I found a small hold in the mesh, so i dug throw the whole cage making sure they were all in there as they go down for 1-3 days at a time some times. They had a whole net work of tunnels, and a big ol chamber!
As i went to grab one in the bucket my female jumped and bit me haha
Heres the female
Heres Stubby
Heres the male
And just a few pictures.
Please tell me what you think, be truthful i will not take it to heart.... Thanks

Hi.
i think their great, i really like the argus. how old are your's, and how often do you handle them? my one was hatched 8 feb 06, but still hides when i go into the room. i guess it's about the 24" mad as hell when you go into the viv but calm's down after a while when you get it out.
regards. |
