My first crested gecko egg hatched yesterday. Here's a picture of the little thing, sadly s/he wouldn't stay still so it's a little blurry.

The egg was incubated in an air-tight container at around 75 to 80 degrees in vermiculite. I added enough water to vermiculite so that when you squeezed it, it formed a ball but no water dripped from it.

The egg was 3/4 buried in this and I opened the container every few days to let some air circulate and to check if the vermiculite was drying out. The egg hatched after 69 days.

nice, i have just come back from holiday today and my parents have been looking after my Rhacs, i have had 1 garg hatch and 2 cresteds, they all look great and healthy.
