What are they like for delivery times? I was all set to order until I read this at the bottom of their page:
We operate a freezer truck delivery service that covers England and Wales every 14 days and lowland Scotland every 28 days. Scottish highlands and islands phone for quote. Free delivery for 3000 chicks is only on the sheduled routes.
There is a standard delivery charge of £14.10 for deliveries under 3000 chicks, This only covers up to 25kgs (600 chicks) by overnight carrier. If your order exceeds the weigh/size allowance you will be contacted by phone or email to advise extra overnight carrier costs and sheduled freezer truck delivery dates.
Does this mean they only do deliveries every 14 days, or that they only do that if its over 3000 chicks? And other orders (eg the one I intend to do) are done via a courier and will be here next day sort of thing? _________________ www.exotic-pets.eu - Live food culture guides, information on hundreds of exotic pet species, DIY guides, care sheets and more!

They only do deliveries every 14 days, you don't have to order any chicks if you dont want to.
Don't forget this is primarily a raptor food supplier, to that end they use far FAR more chicks than we do, so if you order 3000 chicks you get free delivery for your order. Believe me when i tell you trying this aint wise, it takes AGES to shift that many chicks
They will tell you when you order when the truck is in your area. _________________ TFA

you can order as little or as much as you like to come on the freezer truck every 14 days with or without chicks. They send mine to my by courier as most of the time I've missed the foo-kin truck and am totally out of food. They are great mate, I've tried and tested most company's and got let down by every one of them including the 'big guys'. These however are yet to mess up my order _________________ Just a collector/lover for now |

You sure its going to be cost effective only ordering 50 mice?..once you take into account the delivery charge they would probably be the same price as a shop.. _________________

i order a freezer load so i get max value. I usually get 100 odd XL rats 100 odd XL mice and 30-40 rabbits so it all works out worht while. Have you thought about breeding your own mice if you only want that many? _________________ Just a collector/lover for now |

Yeah I have, the only place I could do it in is in the shed and it suffers from extreme temperature spikes. _________________ www.exotic-pets.eu - Live food culture guides, information on hundreds of exotic pet species, DIY guides, care sheets and more!
