Hi all.
what fantastic weather were having, ideal for getting some natural UV. to your sun loving rep's. just got my PANTHER CHAMELEONS in for the night. they love going outside. iv'e noticed an increased appetite especially my male.(female only 5mths old, so still feeding heavily.) i noticed today that he could see the female (moved outside enclosure while i cut the grass, and forgot to move it back.) and realised why he was bobbing his head & generally acting strange. must admit i'm looking forward to breeding them. what is the best age for the female to breed? and when would be best time to put them together?. iv'e also put my argus monitor outside, but it's a NUT CASE and just tries to run through the wire mesh, so i'm worried it might damage itself. does anybody else put their animals outside? |

We take Bud our Cham out for a few rays when its warm and sunny and give our Flotida King a run across teh lawn. I agree the increased exercise does seem to do them good we stay with them though as the presence of birds in the garden is quite threatening to the cham and Bud is much better sitting with us, does like the change of scenery too, I just wish she'd zap a few of thise annouying bugs that fly around!! |

Best to wait till the female is about a year old, take her to him you will soon see if she is receptive if so leave them togehter, if they get on OK leave them togehter for a couple of weeks thats what I do, when she has had enough she wont let him mount her anymore.
First clutch of eggs may have a few failures, but this is normal, second clutch will be better. My Picasso Panthers are on their second clutch (both females). _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
