do you find he goes a bit nuts after being out in the sun? i had a male iguana a few years ago and whenever i let him loose in the garden he was a nightmare to catch again, hissing and whipping, completely out of character - i know there has been some discussion about sunlight 'bringing out the beast' in diurnal herps and after my igg's behaviour i am a firm beleiver in this!

p.s beautiful bosc sorry to ramble on - keiron

I had exactly the same problem. He was a perfect Iggy and after going out in the sun he was like a totally differant animal.
Personally to me the change in behaviour seemed more like fear. After living in a box it's whole life and never seeing the outside world or even knowing there is a world outside of the room, all the light, objects, smells, tastes and space just seems to freak them out. They don't know how to deal with the unfamiliar situation so they act like 99% of animals do in an unnatural situation and turn defensive.

possible that it is all the different scents that are outside. It must be worrying to be used to the same few scents indoors and then get exposed to a whole new world, literally. This has always been my theory of 'when herps go bad' LOL
