Can anyone identify this newt. It has been given to a friend and they need info on its care. _________________ 1.2.0 Leopard geckos

Hard to tell from the pic as it's a tad blurry, maybe a Spanish ribbed newt, even looks a bit like a Palmate newt, or an Italian newt.

Yep - Sharp-Ribbed Salamander (Pleurodeles waltl) I have four of them... Easy to keep, eat like crazy, specimens of up to 12" are known...
Here's a photo of two of mine (one is hiding in the background)...
