Mildred (Mrs Mellor chameleon) is digging around in her nest box!
She started to spend time on the floor of the viv yesterday scratching about. I dashed out to the shed found the largest plastic crate I could, shoved half a tonne of peat in and put it in the viv.
Feeling tense as I so want to successfully breed some UK CB mellers.
George and Mildred have mated quite a few times over the past few months so hopefully the eggs will be fertile, fingers crossed.
Mildred for the past two weeks has been eating like foods going out of fashion, so wait and see now.
But being odd creatures she may not even be gravid, hard to tell! _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

Thank you everyone. It would be great to see some CB UK bred mellers about, I have only ever seen WC, apparently the survival rate of the WC ones is not so good due to the high level of disease that mellers in particular can carry when WC. Perhaps that is why there are not so many if any CB UK about. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
