I know, I know, not dwarf monitors, but I dont have any yet and I'm sure you guys dont mind looking at the pictures!
I built a nest/hide box for my female blackthroat monitor today and she is loving it. Its just a rubbermaid with the lid attach, and a small hole drilled on top just big enough for her to fit in. Enjoy! This would be the female..
And here is the male. He tried to get in as well, but didnt quite work out to well for him! hahaha..
I was a bit worried once he started climbing up me, but all was fine. He had just gotten a large meal.

I feed them need be. Since obesidity is easily led to in captivity in albigs, I feed them as needed. So normally Its every other day and small meals, or every two days and larger meals. It ranges. I do try to feed the female more often though, since the male is a hog and attempts to eat everything in sight! Haha. Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Thank you Nelson. As for there temperment, there quite calm. My male is extremely calm, where as my female, is a bit more skittish. She will let me know when to back off. But even from that, they still have great temperments. I let them roam my yard a couple times a week for some sun. Quite fun to work with if you ask me.
