the other day i noticed my geckos skin on his head had gone grey so i went off 2 the kitchen got a plasic tupperware tub ,cut a hole in it fille dit with wet tissue (i got no moss on me) i now have 2 questions:
1. will wet tissue be ok for this shed until i buy a bit
2. do they only shed at night as hes not bothering to tear his skin off yet but his skin (apart from head that has already shed) is dull and is peeling around his spine and neck area?
he wouldnt stay in my moist hide till i put his fav log over it so its dark there guess for a gecko its just not home without home lol |

A tub with damp paper towel is fine, should keep one in there all the time. Yes, shedding is normally at night (when they are most active). Unless it's cutting off circulation to it's legs, toes or tail, leave it for the gecko to remove (if it's still there after a week, you could put the gecko in a moist tub over night. _________________

he shed last night , i wanted to check on him so lifted the roof of the tupperware and he was sitting there in a beutiful new skin gleaming with moisture. his legs are a very dark colour (a couple of hours after the shed so its not bad circulation) i was rather supprised as he shed only 1 wekk after i got him and the man in the shop said he was 6 weeks, i belived they shed every 3 weeks so i thought 1 had just passed lol. |
