Not an expert but there is a book you should be on the look out for. It hasn't been released yet but will be called "The biology of boas and pythons".
It is to be released by "eagle mountain" publishing and more importantly contains chapters written by herpetology's most revered figures.
Chapter subjects include specific dynamic action, ecomorphology and thermal biology.
A lot will be very deep and likely to be over my head in areas but will undoubtedly be well worth it.
It is one of only two books that i will not be happy unless i have them in my collection (the other is a reproduction of a 200 year old book that is mainly on frogs, funnily enough - took over 5 years to find it and is my most prized piece of literature) _________________ TFA

also a great book is The reproductive husbandry of Pythons and Boas by Richard Ross and Gerry Marzec, quite old now but a good book all the same. _________________

It was due for release Dec 05, it has since had more added so has been delayed somewhat. I know one of the authors quite well so as soon as he knows i'll let you all know. _________________ TFA
