I have always used human grade acidophilus in my cricket food mixes, but recently I read an article concerning parrots that said only species specific probiotics were of value, anything else being passed straight out of the digestive track straight away. Does anyone else have any experience with this, obviously if the acidophilus I use are not doing any good then there is little point continuing using them, but I would like more information than one article before I make a decision.
Regards, AS
