Smile Aww Rick they are sooooooo sweet, I can feel a "broody" coming on!, They are just adorabubble, I love teeny baby things so much- you should see me cooing to the newly hatched axies- and their no bigger than an eyelash. Did the spray bar have anything to do with this spawning at all? I ask as when I switch moine on it provokes a breeding frenzy but never ever results in spawn.
love Jan

Hi Jan,

Yes they are way cute! Growing as you watch them to.

I think it must be down in part to the spray bar. I made up an even bigger spray bar than the one that came with the e-bay filter.

Then just lowered the water level and moved filter to the corner where I had removed the surrounding gravel to create a pool. Heavily planted in this area. Removed enough water only to leave this pool.

The spray bar I left on 24/7, splashing over mopani wood to spread the water droplets everywhere and to ensure plants in all of tank kept moist.
I know your not meant to do that, but should leave it on mainly at night then off durring the day, but I thought well it rains whenever so lets have continual rain Laughing

With the warmer weather we have been having this done the trick.

Deffo the spray bar that helped though I have had it going now since the 10th of April, so it has taken approx three weeks to achieve tadpoles.

Probably a lot of luck involved to.
