i think u have to look at the whole pic not whether its in focus or the white balance is correct, its a whole thing not get too critical!!!

does it make u laugh, does it show the colourful beauty of the animal etc

It's a pity some people can't play nice, Pete (aka Goldenburm) is requesting members on his forum to vote for him, please delete my photo from the competition. No point in entering if people are making this a popularity contest rather than on the photos merits.
