my friends corn snake is not eating she has refused to eat for a month now and is not showing sighns of shedding anyone got any ideas _________________ ade2005 |

if it's a good size and weight and showing no obvious illness, you could try hibernating it for 3 - 4 weeks.
What size is it? |

shes about 3 ft long and normaly eats regualr as clockwork he hasnt tried hybernating ill suggest it to him _________________ ade2005 |

now the weather has changed it will probably be too hot to hibernate it. try offering food in a small hide box and leave over night (make sure the food is dry and warm if defrosted). |

Sorry Adrian, I haven't been here for a while and missed this. It's breeding season right now and this is a major cause of most changes in behaviour in corns at the moment.
Males will tend to go off of food completely at this time as their only aim in life is to find a female! Females on the other hand should continue to feed right up until she is gravid which begs me to ask you a couple of questions...
Are you sure that this is a female?
Have any other behavioural changes occured?
Is she housed alone or with another corn or has she had access to another corn at any stage? _________________ Regards, Tanya

yes they are both female he has had them sexed. no obvious behavior changes . she is housed with the other female and they seem to get along fine together and she is feeding now many thanks _________________ ade2005 |
