This is a first. I just got home from skiing (I know, still skiing. I ski every weekend Sat and Sun from opening day to closing), and I am still laughing about what has happen today. Laughing

I have a season pass to a ski area that includes 5 mountains next to each other. You can hop from one to another through diff. chair lifts.

I am an aggressive skier and have tendencies to stick to a particular mountain for it's steepness and its' moguls. The moguls are located right under the chairlift for entertainment of course so that people can yell at the skiers as they are going up. Never, never fall in those moguls unless you are ready to take a beating from the chairlift. It's all in fun and games. Very Happy People screaming comments are also getting it themselves when their turn is up. Revenge can be sweet. Twisted Evil

Anyway, to get back to my story, I stopped 1/2 way down the mogul because of a bra that had been thrown on me from the chairlift (a black bras) as I looked up in a puzzled look Shocked Question The man screamed "Pick it up and call me". I bent over to pick it up and got a second one. This time it was a pink one. (I hate pink. I really do and that bras was huge. Can't even imagine anyone filling them. The guy is dreaming). I picked them up and continued skiing. At the bottom of the hill, people were laughing and talking about this crazy ideal of chairlift dating. I would have known about today's special event if only I had taken the time to read the new letter. On this particular mountain, men would bring a bras, put his phone # in and if interested in the woman skiing below the chair lift, he would throw it at her and hope she decide to keep it. If not interested, she was to pick up the bras and bring it back at the bottom of the slope for the guy to pick it up again to throw it all over again at another lady of his choice. (Hard to believe? YES but come on, think about it, how can I be making something up like this? I would never have thought of that).

I've gotten a few thrown at me. Ladies, if you are reading this, the men's favorite colors of bras seemed to be a close call between the black bras and the red bras. I haven't gotten any white bras which surprised me(maybe white reminds the guy of marriage).

I've also notice that most guys are exaggerating on the sizes of the bras. There was a lot of 34DD and even a F.

I kept one bras, Embarassed (sorry buddy) not for the number but it was my size and it was so beautiful. (A nice red lacy push up). Do I feel guilty about keeping it? Rolling Eyes A little but...

I wonder if it will be the ladies turn to throw some boxers? Confused

Why would anyone want to throw boxers from a chair lift!

OK they are an ugly dog, but they do not deserve this sort of treatment !

I for one object and think this is a case of animal cruelty!

You don't want to throw boxers, so what would you throw?

Going again today.

Today is the slush competition. They dig a 3 feet deep hole that mememesures 80 feet long. Fill it with water and ice and you try to make it across without falling into the water on skis or snowboard while wearing a costume. They give prizes for the best costume, making it across and the best splash.

Pretty good to watch.
See you later.

I wouldn't want to throw anything let alone a live animal! Well maybe a few bricks at innocent passers by! But that would just be for fun! Laughing

OK, I'm not sure if you are pulling my leg but boxers are briefs. For some reason, I do think you knew that but just in case. I don't want to be known as the woman that throws dogs off chair lifts for attention. Confused

And you are right, only in America but take a look at the presidents we had for the pass 16 years! Confused I think it sais it all.

One of the most embarrassing moment was the election of Bush with the ballots that had to be counted over and over again in Florida which went all the way to the courts system. Total embarrassment. We can't even vote right! Shocked

I'm not familiar with the process on choosing a leader in the UK but on this side of the pond, if I had the power, that is the first thing I would change. We spend 2 years campaigning for Presidency. Spend Millions and Millions on $$$ for advertising that the other candidate has sleeped with so and so or that in his teen years said this bad word (ok, I'm exaggerating a little but you get the picture) In their campaign, the candidate spend more time bad mouthing and telling 1/2 Truth about each other and no one is around to defend themselves. Most of the time, we don't really know what they are in favor of or what they would like to accomplish if elected. But we know all about their private life. Pretty sad.

Now if it was for me, no $$ would be spent on advertising. There would be a couple debates on television with all candidates so that they can defend themselves. We are then ready to vote. Two weeks max is all that would be needed and think of all the $$ it would save.

I know what boxers are, in the UK we have a breed of dog called Boxer hence the play on words. I don't personally like the boxers as in briefs, they do not make me feel secure. Much prefer to go commando, not as in NAVY SEALS! Now your confused.

it's not just the USA, politics in view and politicians are screwed up the world over! Although I must admit the USA has taken screwing politics up to new heights! Britan is not much better with some of Blairs recent decisions, nuff said.

We just sadly live in a world that is back to front and upside down!

When will we learn?

Boxers looks nice on a guy.

Hum, commando on the other hand...

Come on, I don't get confused that easily.

Hey, I got a question and I want opinion.
I've been debating. (Ok, maybe your right, I do get a little confused).
There is a turtle (an Ornate box turtle) at a pet shop that I have been visiting for a while. This pet shop knows nothing about turtles. This poor thing has eye problem, probably due to the lack of vitamin A and is obviously malnourished. Every time I go visit her (it's a she) I bring her some crickets. They feed her macaroni. I've come close to buying her many times but keep thinking that even if I rescued her from this hell, I am encouraging the pet shop to buy another turtle that will go through the same misery as this one is going through right now. She's been there since at least November (1st time I walked in there). Don't know what to do. Any comments? If I knew that the owner wouldn't buy another to replace this one I would take her off his hands but he said that he likes a variety in animals.
I can't buy every turtle that he's going to bring in. So knowing this, would you buy her and why.

Good question.

I doubt I would buy her. I would probably gather some info on the turtle, strike up a conversataion with pet shop guy and politley say oh by the way would you like this.

if that dont work report him to animal welfare. Very Happy
