|
|
Hi, everyone.
Thanks, Jas (a year late but never mind!)... It was me who put up Bob MacCargar's article on Ark Reptile Group.
Since then things have moved very fast. There is now a new generation of merc vapour, high UVB lamps out there - thanks to that guy's work - and we have tested quite a few and published the results.
Towards the end of 2004, Robert completed designing and testing a new mercury vapour lamp which has now become available from the Canadian firm Westron. He markets this lamp through his own new company, www.ReptileUV.com and it is also sold by T-Rex under the brand name Active UV Heat Flood (replacing the older lamp of this name.)
More new information about these lamps, and many other sources of UVB for reptiles is available from our website devoted entirely to the study of UV light and lighting: www.UVGuide.co.uk
