'Australian Goannas' by Matt Vincent and Steve Wilson is a very good book on Australian varanids. Very comprehensive guide to the Varanus genus to start with, also having seciton on diet, husbandry and breeding. The second half of the book focuses on individual species, couldn't recommend it enough. I picked mine up on ebay cheap.

Another good book is B. Eidenmullers book warane that will be out in english soon and thats nice cos its hard to read the german edition

Thanks James i'll take a look at that one, and Thomas i saw that book on a stand at Hamm, had a flick through it and it did look good but as there was no English version i left it.
Any idea when its to be released? |

well its been postponed several times already due to trouble with the editor according to Bernd, but some time this year it should hit the shelves, hopefully i may add.
