Right, im close to picking up my first boa. Now of course I know females get very large indeed, so I have had a few probed to make sure I start with a male.
I currently keep carpet pythons and have been looking for something different.
Of course carpets reach 8ft (well my coastals do) but I know a male boa will be more like 6ft. However, its the bulk. My problem, even though it sounds silly, is this. I am still currently living at home (after uni thing), and my mother isn't a fan of huge snakes, she thinks the carpets are too big as it is.
If I buy an 04 boa, how long will it be before it gets to such a size that it might be an issue whilst im at home? Give it a year to 18 months and I would have moved out. Will this give it some time (so long as I dont over feed it!) to grow at a nice rate? _________________ 3.7.3 Stuff! |

hmm i have a female 2003 whos on the 7ft mark and not a problem tbh, as far as groth rates can vary snake to snake and also to how much you feed or over feed. on the carpet side though i did have a 7ft female carpet and she was more of a handfull than the boa has ever been. |
