I finally went thru my gargoyle collection last night, wanted to set them up in groups now that they are sexable. I had 3 cages with a total of 35 animals in.

Out of that 35 I had 30 females Shocked and only 5 males....

So basically if you are a betting man (or woman Wink ) if you buy a gargoyle you have a 86% chance of it being female.

I have another group growing on, so it'll be interesting to see what the sex ratio turns out on them.

We had luck... The first R. auriculatus i bought for my boyfriend was a male...

And Eelco (spookje/ghost here on the forum) has probebely 3 males out of 3.....

Male Gargoyles are harder to come by than females - I think you did well to get 5 Scott..lol..

The first two I bought both ended up being males!!
(I have managed to find some adult wifies for them now though!) It was hard to find adult females - most I found were sold as breeding pairs only.
