To be honest, it is usually not the price of the lizards which is a problem - more the price of setting up them up properly. The minimum you would need would be an appropriately sized heat mat and a thermostat. With this you could keep leopard or CB fat tail geckos. What dimensions are the 10gal tanks? The minimum floor space for these geckos would be around 18" x 12", but 24" x 15" would be much better. Maybe have a read around and get a feel for what's out there...

Cheers,
Mark.

as Mark says it's the set up that costs the money, not the lizards.

Great active lizards are Green Anoles, these can be set up with live plants etc and look great all day long. You will need UV lighting and a basking spot lamp. UK prices for the UV, a spot bulb and a dimming thermostat would be around £80.
