Came across this site a few weeks ago http://www.flickr.com/
You can upload 20megs of pics per month for free, or for around £14 a year put up 2gigs of pics per month.
But the best thing is the way you can search for other peoples pics by 'tags'
or interestingness.
Its a bit hard to explain how good this site is.
I have now put up around 1500 hi res pics from recent holidays with no reduction in files size, uploading is a doddle as well.
