Hi

I was doing my morning routine yesterday of spot cleaning the vivs and found these two eggs.

The main reason for posting is they're from my leachie - no doubts now, she's definitely a female...lol. I was very shocked to find them as I didn't feel she was mature/old enough to have them. She's just over two and a half - I suppose she knew she was ready. With my other Rhacs I have found they hunt around and dig tester sites to lay their eggs in - I saw none of these signs with her. Incidentally the eggs are infertile as she hasn't been mated. I'll have to get her a male now, so if anyone spots an advert for an Island E henkeli can you let me know please.

Very Happy

nice!

I agree with you on "I suppose she knew she was ready", I feel this is true for almost ALL reptiles.

Are you incubating them anyway? (you never know, you may discover something interesting Idea )

I was going to incubate them, but they collapsed a couple of hours later. I was hoping for some sort of miracle with them but alas no...lol. Very Happy

I had some unexpected chahoua eggs a few days ago, laid inside an empty deli cup. They look ok at the moment so fingers crossed, still waiting for the first clutch to hatch.
