HI all,

My name is Teresa and I am currently researching for a documentary for Channel 4. We are hoping to borrow a Boa Constrictor for a TV shoot this Friday. Basically the boa will be crawling around our presenter. We don;t have much time left so any help will be much appreciated.

Would you own one or know of anyone who would be willing to lend us their snake? The shoot will only take a day and we promise to take care of the snake.

Please could you contact me as soon as possible my email is teresa@remedyproductions.tv or you can call me on 020 8962 5355.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Many thanks,

Teresa

well, guess who volunteered Smile

basically, a production team working for C4 wanted to use a boa as a prop, during an interview with a guy called Paul Nichols, which was at one of their flats, so, only... 8 invading the place lol...also no chance for hassles with ar people Smile

paul actually keeps snakes, though they 'boarding' at the moment with someone, 4 corns and 4 dwarf el salvador boas, and he actually knows what he's talking about too, from jacobsens organs to thermostats, so as you can imagine we had a right old natter lol.. he loved eddie too, and though i hate to say something like a snake "enjoys" things in the same way we do, if ever a snake COULD be said to enjoy outings, its eddie..

anyway, the plan became, one the film crew had re-arranged the flat  , that paul would sit on a chair, with edwina tastefully drapped over a bit of branch stuff.. cable tied to a tripod landing stand (minus light..)

uh huh, thought i, this could be fun.. how do i tell edwina to sit still... still, give it a go..

well, i must have harry potter in the room translating in parseltongue i swear, because my god, if thats not what did... posed herself tastefully on the branch, lined up head facing the camera, slight S... but not feeding S... and then she didn't move for about an hour.. at which point she stretched artisticall left, then right, up, and down... twined prettily about the branch a bit more... showed off her muscle tone by stretching her neck and body out some more... then re-posed carefully, showing off a different angle...

i was a bit

considering the interview was about religion and belief and karma and things that are sometimes "meant to be" it was all treated rather auspiciously by them really... even i was in awe tbh...

so, early summer it comes out, this ones exploring hinduism.. so they are filming in india next.. there are strong beliefs around snakes in india, hence the sort of link.. they asked if they should take anti-venom with them... i said no, can do more harm than good to self administer.. first.. try not to get bit.. second... get to a blooming doctor... anyway.. wish i was needed as an animal handler for that bit!

so pics..

oh, and han, i got what you wanted too Wink

so, the set up..

posing for the cameras...

her head was pointing dead on at the camera, and she held this pose, under lights which she did not even seem to notice, for an hour or so...

some close ups during a break..

and then, coz i know you would want me to, or some of you at least...

no, thats not my hand...

its HIS hand..

paul getting gooey over edwina..
