I split this from the vivarium thread Wink

Lynne the easiest way is this:

take the tub of fruit fly hold it at an angle.. tap the flies into the corner then open the corner slightly and the flies collected in the corner will fall right out into the viv.

Now you can do this also with dusting them accept you will tap them into a deep tub or pint glass with supplement dust in the bottom then swirl the flies aroun in this... then hold the glass as a 45 degree angle in the viv and tap the flies out and leaving the excess dust in the cup.

Hi the easiest way I find is to get a fairly large plastic bag place some vit powder inside then place tub of fruitflies inside bag open tub and tap some out then get a sieve place in bag tip fruitflies and powder through sieve whack against worktop etc then you will have nicely coated flies left in sieve with no exess powder then just tip into viv works well with micros as well hope this helps Very Happy Heatherxx
