What makes a good spider?
I looked at one this morning, a 07 female for £550, lovely yellow sides and markings. I am very tempted but read somewhere about high white sides is important???
This did not have high white sides but was lovely?
what is the score with high white sides? Or am i talking rubbish?
Is the genetics random like pieds, some will be high white some low regardless of parents?
phew what a lot of QS

Erm, Go for whatever you like, makes no odds.
Some prefere high white, some dont.
They all vary, as you said like pieds.
Thats a decent prive for a grown on female aswell.
Go for it _________________ Regards, Paul.

Mike!
I think you should pick the snake that will match the project. People are always on about the high white being important but you have to ask "Important for what?" Most people talking high white are either thinking about making bees or just giving their personal preference.
My project is to make honeybees. I want to make the most orange snake I can with the least pattern. For this I don't want a high white animal so I picked the most orange looking spider I could with the least amount of pattern. Makes sense really!!
I think the future in ball python morphs will be about quality. Buying the spider that matches your goal is the most important thing! |

i think you should buy which one YOU personally like. it seems to be all about money these days, what will get the highest price. or what will make you something that will fetch a high price. i buy what i personally 'click' with. some might not agree with my way, but it works for me. _________________
