well he seems to be molting a lot. every 2-3 weeks!!!

For a young mantis that is not uncommon. As it grows the moults will become further apart until it reaches adulthood and then they stop.

right, so i just keep doing what im doing. this is first one that i have had molting with me. psuedo, the one karen sent me was already fully grown when i got him, so i wasnt too sure. thanks everyone.

Yep! A friend gave her to my daughter to look after, and she had 2 sheds before she was fully 'adult'. I fed her a lot, she was a total dustbin! She laid 2 oothecas before she died a few weeks ago, and I must say, I miss her!

i miss psuedo too. thats the first one i had that karen sent me. they are just so beautiful when they get the wings, its a pity they dont last too long after that. Sad

Confused My flower mantid just shed again and he has his "wings" now...looks stunning too...and must admit surprised how quick after his last moult it was...wonder how long he will live for.. Confused

i know. thats the worst bit. you cant wait to see how gorgeous they are with them, but you know once they get them they wont have too much longer. Sad
