Hi folks, hope your Saturday evening is going well. I just thought I would post some photos of my new Baby Bosc that I picked up last Wednesday. I have called him Tyro (as in Tyranosaurus) and he is a real character! Let me know what you think of his first photoshoot!! Just look at his little fat belly already! I think he has been spoilt don't you?!?
regards, Paul.

He's gorgeous!! What a little bruiser He looks just like Steve but he has a much fatter tail! Steve is bulking up fast though... he has a serious appetite on him as I imagine little Tyro does too!
How are you getting on with him now, is he settling in nicely? _________________ http://www.iherp.com/tea

Hi Tea, Tyro is settling in well and now starting to eat. Took him a couple of days to get his bearings though. He is in a Viv which is probably 4 times the size of the one he was in when I collected him, so he spends most of the day exploring or lying under his hide. His is still a bit defensive and skittish, but I suppose this will just take time. I have taken him out twice a day so far to try to get him used to me. He came out yesterday without poo-ing on me, which I take as a positive!!! Thanks for all of your kind comments.

Keep an eye on his eating habits when you're handing him a lot, mine always lost their appetite when i handled to much & they still think i should keep my hands to myself.

Hi Mark, thanks for the advice. He is eating, although I have only ever seen him actually eat once, the livefood I put in his viv keeps disappearing!! I thought it was best to handle them at least once or twice a day to ensure that they tame down. I do not want to stress him too much, but obviously I want to get over that pain barrier. He is still very defensive and hisses, whips and poo's all over me. I am getting more used to the routine than he is though and am well prepared for the onslaught I have heard from a number of sources that eventually they just give up and almost become tame overnight, after regular handling. Anyone know how long this should take?
