hope it'll work out and you get them eating. i never realised that it was difficult to get live prey in the uk. here amsterdam i can pick from 4 different shops that sell rat's n mice for food, so i can be picky aboutit as well. is it not possible for you to breed your own rats?? it's not that dificult and you'll be sure of having live prey

thanks hope so too
not enough space to breed rats properly.
i have a couple that are ready to drop,

Try offering a food item on tongs as you have been but instead of putting it straight in front of the snakes head..do it off to one side and maybe gently touch side of its body..my royal will only take if tease fed but if I dangle it straight in front of her nose she backs off and tries to hide..so I always offer it just pass her head off to one side..easier to show than describe what I mean but hope you get the idea.. Agreed, my boa mostly feeds like this.
Occasionally, with my quite aggressive feeder kurt (hes a royal too)
you have to touch his nose with the mouse (WHEN he feeds) but my others get totally spooked by this.

mine are too chris. if it helps and they keep trying to get out tub, leave the lid on and squeeze the mouse and tongs through. a few of mine do that, but they cant get out so pay more attention to the food then.
