Don't worry about the size of the eggs too much, we had a clutch of 4 eggs and 2 were much smaller than the other 2, but we left them alone and now they are hatching! Unless they go bad then treat them as good. Duds are noticeably smaller and a different colour so should be easy to spot.

ow tnx mate, coz i wos really started to think that they are bad. so i'll check on them in a week orzo?

question!! on another forum they said that only 1 egg seems to be fertile. do they really look that bad?? ok i've seen that there's 1 really small, but are they really all bad eggs??

to be honest I think only one egg is fertile too Sad didn't want to ruin your excitement yesterday Embarassed

It's not just the size of the others but the 'soft & yellow' look. It's always worth giving them the benefit of doubt though. Good luck.

We did not want to ruin his excitement too Sad

But we had a clutch of 4 eggs from a het pied to het pied pairing giving 2 perfect eggs, one shaped like a nipple and small, and one that started to discolour and weep like it was rotting. Well the nipple shaped egg hatched this morning giving a possible het pied baby, and the "rotting" egg hatched giving an almost all white visual pied!!!
