grrrrrr flamin shops!
had a customer over to view my babes tonight and we chatted ~ as you do ~ turns out the rep/pet shop he'd got everything from (including stuff he didn't need) had recommended (and sold him) crushed walnut substrate as suitable for baby leo's
to top it off apparently the leo's they were selling were a damn site smaller then my 1 month olds and yet were supposedly 2-3 months old! He's now gone home with a basic caresheet and will be back to collect the littl'un when he's got everything sorted.
and yep I'll be heading out to the shop myself in the morning. _________________ 4.7.20 Leopard Geckos

unfortunately there are plenty of pet shops without the experiance or knowledge, 99% of the time they are the garden centre types that stock fish, rabbits, kitten and reptiles _________________

I've come across that sort of thing several times over the years. Sometimes the advice given is just bad, on others it is downright fatal. |

i think we have all come across this at some time in our hobbie,
you stand their in the shop and hear an assistant giving a load of info that is a load of S**t, you watch them rack up the list of bit's & bobs that they will "not" need. And you so just want to jump in and try and help the poor unsuspecting victim to help them save some money and enjoy the hobbie so they carry on with it rather than lose interest because of somebody has a huge mark-up and wants to make Lot's of profit for their business. _________________ See the Gang at,
