Another hoggie question..
I had always assumed that hoggies were ground snakes, but my little girl keeps climbing. She climbs up the glass, up the fake wall up the back of her tank, into peoples clothing (and then sets up home there hissing if you go near her) and last night she managed to get up the back of the fake wall and made such a nose, the cats went mad!!!
Is this behavior normal for a hoggie? I assumed that she is just exploring her tank and trying to escape (I've had her since October).. or that she is trying to tell me that she wants a bigger tank (which I was planning on doing anyway)..
Sorry for daft questions, her behavior has been a bit strange of late, and though she always climbed the glass at the front of the tank, and then made an escape when you opened the tank, its the first time she has been so active and climbing everything! |

She is off her food again, but is getting ready to shed this time (her under belly scales are starting to grey up)
Temps are fine, 80 + (it does not get higher than 85) in the hot end (which I assume is fine). We do try and keep the temp at about 80 (hot area)
She has two hides, one in the hot area and one in the cool area.. |

mine climbs the viv doors when its near feeding time, and because he wants out. it was a habit he got into at the shop where i bought him, and when he did it they always took him out. so now he thinks everytime he climbs he will be taken out. he gets quite indignant if he doesnt too. _________________

Kartush is like that, pick her up every day and she is fine, but leave her alone.. and its one grumpy hog.
Hopefully I've attached a picture of her from today. She was climbing her branch (and looks evil in that picture).. why is that Hoggies hate having their photo's taken!
