i think too its getting away from the point of the thread. its for hints on getting them from live to defrost. we have gone from that to just getting them to eat.
i have never had to live feed, but would like some hints on how to in case this ever pops up. i know of one person at least who would like some tips.

Really? I've never read that, where does that information come from?

I know that food frozen for a long time will lose some of the vitamins and minerals but never 25% - do they escape as soon as the rat is frozen?

I'm personally more concerned about people thawing rats in water rather than them being defrosted, as there is more evidence of nutritional loss at that stage.

I never even realised that in the uk there's so much hussle if you would wanna feed live prey!!!! it's true over here it is a free choice that you can make. i can't really remember exactly where i've read about the 25% less food value, but it was when i was in college at nescott in eawel east. there was some biology class that i went to and saw the article. and lynne i also love the little hoppers Very Happy
