Hi All,
First post here. Hello everyone!!!
You may have seen these pics on other forums. Just thought i'd post them to see what you think. Recently took the plunge into the royal world after keeping almost everything else!! (we know it can be addictive).
I picked up a lovely 07 pinstripe female, 06 normal female then a normal male (reduced) - also 07.
My 'wierdest' purchase was this female, imported by a friend of mine.
Sold as a Ebony, yet looks distictly like one of John Berry's Aztec balls.
Shown her off to a few guys in the hobby. What y'all think??
She is scale perfect and a fabulous eater. Should be up to breeding weight in no time at all.
Clear white belly, with YB like flames on the edges. Greenish around the sides, very dark scales surrounding a complete thick stripe and a light brown head!!
Told you it was one for the experts.
Thanks,
Dave |

Hi Scott,
Thanks for that, ye she's real nice. Better in the flesh as always!!
Ye, John emailed me not long ago!!
Not sure what the reply was but it was fairly inconclusive!!
Shows all the 'markers' for being genetic. Shame i don't know the parentage!!
To think, all i wanted was a mojave and came away with this 'problem'

Thanks all,
I have been advised to use a Male Yellow Belly for her.
Think that is the way forward.
Just need to buy one now

I like those things! I have seen a few threads about them over the years and so far it has proved to be non inheritable. There are a few breeders stateside that have bred them and got nothing but normal looking babies. Maybe its recessive?? It may be that your one is different, who knows?? A male yellowbelly is a good partner for it as would be a male mojave. Good luck. |
