we sold 2 yemens chameleons the other day to a woman with a fair bit of reptile keeping experience, a chat with her showed tht she knew what she was about, the had separate enclosures and all the equipment and parmeters were fine.
later in the day that we sold them she called to say that the female was sitting on the floor and all brown, we told her that she should try and let it settle but that if she had any worries she could bring it back, which she did.
Now this girl has been in excellent health at our shop for at least 4 weeks, she was a little slender when we got her and a little shy with food but now shes an eating machine and showing good condition. The trouble is, since she has been back she has just sat on the bottom of her vivarium with a muted brown speckled pattern and all hunched up, her ayes are not sunken and she responds quite aggressively to any hands in her viv (this is obviously kept to a minimum) she wasnt particularly aggressive before. Im not sure if shes feeding (ive been off) but pretty sure she isnt. What could cause an outwardly healthy animal to go down hill like that in a matter of hours? even when returned to her original viv! _________________ "perfection in miniature" |

being dropped? perhaps some sort of internal injury.
Sounds a bit strange based on what you have written. _________________
