Is it possible to do this if they are done from hatchlings? I was thinking of 1:1 or 1:2, so that they grow up together and can then breed when they come of age. |

For breeding eventually but also to ease the maintenance - 1 large cage
ge rather than 2/3 smaller ones |

Hi Lucy and welcome to Captive Bred!
Most people recommend keeping all snakes individually if you can; apart from limiting the communal passing of infections such as RI, it can make breeding a lot more successful due to lack of contact the year round.
Also for adult Brazilians a viv of size 3' x 2' x 2'-3' (w x d x h) is perfect
Hope that helps.

Brilliant, thankyou for that.
Ok I reckon I'll start off with one first and then get another one next year.
Thankyou for all the help. |

I used to keep BRBs and CRBs.
Personal experience is that they are very powerful feeders, better to keep seperate. Accidents when feeding can happen. One got teh probe of a thermometer in its mouth when eating a mouse. It wasn't fun getting it out.
For BRBS I reckon something like a 3 foot long by 2 foot wide would be ample for an individual and they stack well. I used to keep tehm in 3 foot by 15 inch vivs with no problems but they where only about the 4/5 foot mark. Eventually they can get a good size.

TBH I think a 3ft viv is a bit on the small side for adult BRB's. I keep mine in 4ft Pennine vivs, which so far have been ideal. _________________

i meant to say herptek or vision vivs:oops:
In retrospect I agree a 4 foot for a adult is probably better, they do get to a good size.

I did a search for these on google and could only find the 2ft and 3ft versions. Does someone have a link to these pennine vivariums, they look interesting.
Thankyou
