Well thought it was about time I posted up some updates of the hatchlings, apologies for the number of piccies Embarassed Jas if you see this would appreciate your expert opinion on the 'normal' looking hatchlings, I'm hoping they albinos will end up like their dad, but I'm kind of loosing hope of that now. Will post pics of mum and dad fatty tomorrow (later today actually). There are loads more due to hatch, just a waiting game at the moment, female beardie dropped 19 eggies today as well, in the wrong place, so just hoping they are ok, stupid thing!! Laughing I used photo bucket for these as I keep getting told off for using up all the allocated web space on our server/account Embarassed

Thanks Whiteraven, I have to say that there is nothing that can compare to holding a tiny hatchling for the first time, or watching it pop out of it's egg, and to see the as they develop is amazing. The leos have changed so much already and the oldest is only a couple of weeks, they also eat like pigs! Laughing I can't wait for more to hatch, I'm still hoping for something a little different to pop out of an egg. My pair of giants have now hit breeding weight and and now paired together, really excited about what they are going to produce, and my blizzard pair have now been put together as well banana male and blizzard female.

Glad you like the pictures, there will be many more to come Laughing

Hey Paul, they were between 46 and 61 days, and were incubated at 84-86f (hoping for mostly females out of this lot. I would have liked to have incubated them at a lower temp, but the fat tail eggs are sharing the incubators and can't take the lower temperature Later in the season hopefully I will have about 4 bators set up and all calibrated at different temps so I can change them all about. I plan to have one leo bator set at 90f and the other at 74F they will send 20 days in the lower temp to set sex to female and then move over to the 90f one to set the colour, which will need to be kept to that temp once they have hatched for a year to set the colour in apparently. Should be getting eggs from the giants in about a month or so hopefully as well Smile

Thansk for all the nice comments everyone, these are just the tip of the iceberg so far as the 2 bators are still full, pulled another 2 leo eggs out of a diggy box this morning.

You got some lovely looking hatchlings there Claire, and i would say those albino's will come good especially the second one in the third and fourth pic. When they first hatch they are all similar in that yellow colour but i find the ones that have what looks like the darker colour band bleeding into the lighter colour go Tangerine as they grow, over the next month or so im sure you will see quite a difference with them. Very Happy
Some of those hets you have are crackers too, i especially like the one/s in pic 8,9,10, definatly a keeper in my eyes. Very Happy
Out of all the colours im getting quite fond of the het fatties, the tangerine albino's look great in there first and second year but then there colour starts to fade out, whereas the light hets stay good all the way.
