not really. years ago when they banned pit bulls, all pit bulls in the country had to be nuetered and microchipped and allowed to die out naturally, but the owners were allowed to keep them. so an amnesty for under 16 year olds, who would presumably have to be watched over by an adult could take place.
if they started trying to take everyones reps, they are going to have to dish out millions in compensation. so i dont see that happening, plus how many breeders would be out of business? but that is over here, the video is american, where there is problems with huge reps being dumped.
and dont forget, if they totally ban reps, thats rat and mice breeders out of business too.
maybe policing ourselves is the answer. before the government shoves its dirty wee finger in the pie.

and if they ban the movement of reptiles then it will all start happening underground so to speak.
