Video response to the potential ban on Pythons and Boas.

Now wouldn't that be great if the UK could do something similar to debunk the crap negative stories that are all too often in the press over here.

Wow, what an informative video Scott. I may be speakiung out of turn here, but it seems that the Americans are very good at one thing, standing together and getting organised, whereas in Britain we all seem to complain and fight amongst ourselves and run about like headless chickens some of the time. We just need somewhere to look for leadership and follow suit with our overseas counsins I think.

So my question would be, in times like these to whom do we look for that leadership, and what is the best way forward to show the antis that the vast majority of British reptile keepers are responsible and caring and we keep reptiles for the love of them? I think we all need someone to unite behind.

That would be me then Tom, I won't tell you what I was wearing at the time or what I was holding in my hand come to that Shocked Laughing

Determined is definately one word that has been used, most of the others aren't repeatable on a public forum Smile

tbh, americans are notorious for, if something gets too big, dumping it. the woman spoke sense when she said if you need to rehome an animal, get help to find a placement. how many crocs have came up folks loos over there. i think they have been asking for this for years over there, and admittedly its not fair on the responsible rep owners.

Tis true that it's always the bad few that ruin it for the responsible ones Sad

you dont hear about them being dumped over here much, and usually its the smaller species. but imagine if thousands of boas were dumped, or burms, if that happened here the government would need to take action.

They need videos like this from normal Keepers !so they can then flood the authorities with them ..
i think these breeders are doing a great thing but lets not forget they will be viewed as trying to save there business before the animals by the anti numpties and bigbrother !

there is no sense flooding the authoroties with them, what needs to stop is folk dumping potentially dangerous reps. if that means them not getting them in first place so be it. but how do we stop irresponsible people getting thier hands on them.
i was once in a shop and the guy refused to sell a lucy ratsnake to a chap cause he said he only wanted it to show off. maybe licenses are the answer, like dog licenses. i dunno.
